Why This Resource Exists
Washington County contains a county detention center and three adult Maryland prisons. Their records do not merge into one released-person database. The sheriff documents county bookings and movements, DPSCS maintains state correctional records, Maryland courts preserve case events, and MPC or DPP handles parts of post-release supervision. The purpose of this site is to put those distinct paths in plain language without treating a current-custody list as a release archive.
What Readers Can Find
The coverage follows the questions that arise after custody changes.
- The home page combines a Washington County released-inmate search path with a field-by-field release-record request guide.
- The Release Date Lookup, VINE Inmate Check, and Post-Release Supervision pages explain their separate official channels.
- Each adult detention facility has its own contact, custody scope, and correct release-confirmation route.
- County and state request instructions explain how to seek an existing booking, movement, discharge, or photograph record.
Our Practical Limits
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with Washington County, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland DPSCS, any court, jail, prison, parole office, or other government agency.
- We cannot release, hold, move, or confirm a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, send funds, or obtain a record for a visitor.
- We do not provide legal advice or interpret a court order for a specific case.
- We cannot guarantee that every office detail, fee, source, or link remains current.
Only the responsible sheriff, corrections agency, court, or other record custodian can give an official answer about custody, release, or a government record.
How Search Partners Help
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those providers control their own searches, results, terms, and prices. If a visitor follows a tool and purchases a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the reference pages available, but it does not give this site control over a partner’s data or charges.
